What are some good factory replacement shocks? I need to buy new shocks soon, and I want something a little more firm than plain old replacements... but nothing too expensive or crazy.
Any ideas?

Wild Willy 02-13-2009, 07:22 AM Bilsteins are good, at a decent price- they were used as an up-market option on some of the SS Camaros . Sam Stano has re-valved ones that are F-body specific- Lifetime warranty, too- Koni's are better, and more expensive- again, optional on some models- I think some of the 1LE cars came with them- the less expensive can only be adusted off the car, the top of the line ones are adjustable while still on the car- 4THGEN Z 02-13-2009, 08:25 AM I replaced my stock deCarbons with Bilsteins from the SLP Level 1 package and am happy with em. slomarao 02-13-2009, 11:33 PM I think koni's and SFC's should come from the factory on f bodies. Cant imagine driving the car without them. ;) MikeGyver 02-14-2009, 12:18 AM I think koni's and SFC's should come from the factory on f bodies. Everbody seems to forget that these were relatively inexpensive cars- if you wanted to spend the bucks, you could buy a 'vette- not to mention all the foreign high-buck stuff- these were 'bang for a buck' cars, vette drivetrains in a cheap unibody with plastic interiors- Not bad-mouthing them, fun to drive cars, but they were never a high-end vehicle. They can run like one, though- canuck94z28 02-15-2009, 01:23 PM lol there's alot of things GM should/could have done with the F bodies... they have to be careful they dont just end up with a 4 seat corvette  Have you guys heard anything about these adjustable KYB AGX shocks? http://www.kyb.com/products/shocks/agx.phpI,m interested in these as well.I would think these would be great esp.for lousy/broken roads and up here in northern climes,we have some of the worst! slomarao 02-15-2009, 07:11 PM a buddy of mine ran intrax springs and Kyb shocks. Rode like total sh!t. I would not buy them. Call Sam Strano or visit www.stranoparts.com. :) Before I buy any suspension related part I contact him. His advice is very useful. I could see that making all the difference depending on how you have them set. I just want to be able to control body roll better. | ||
