What are your opinions on this and would it be ok for my car with mods? I don't drive it much except for the weekends and track time. Triple disk clutch lock up converter that is rated for 3800 to 4500 stall.

The convertible cars can use a higher stall than hardtop cars but w/your s/c and the low end torque of the lt1 i would probably look for 3000 or maybe a 3200.Btw you might even look for a 2800.That is the one i will use.

My first stall was on a nearly stock car and it was a 3000. I had to replace my bad tranny and went with a 3200 this time. If I had to do it all over again i would have gone with no less than 3600.

Whats the difference between single and triple disk? Does this allow you to use a different size converter?

Triple disk can hold more power. If you plan to use lockup under WOT you will need it if not save the extra money it cost and go single disk.
Last converter was a 4800 (against TB), that was an track only setup but i cant see any trouble to drive it on the streets.
If you go hi stall you might consider some tuning in the TC lockup tabels.
