LCA relocation-brackets or brake problems?

Hello!
I am having some problems with my brakes on my 94Z. It seems like it all started about the time that I installed the LCA Relocation brackets on my car.
The brackets were a tight fit with the black disc on the E-brake line that looks like a hockey-puck. In fact, as a machinist, I'd call it an interference-fit, as both pieces (the LCA bracket & the 'hockey-puck') seemed to want the same space. I managed to get the brackets installed, but now my brakes are very soft/ have alot of travel before engaging...
Is there a problem with the parts, here, or is it a brake-problem that just coincided with the bracket installation?

As explained on your similar post on f-body.com, the "puck" is a damper, to reduce brake vibrations. Shouldn't affect pedal travel, or produce soft brakes if its hits the LCA relo bracket. My Spohn relo brackets don't touch the pucks, and I don't recall any posts over the years with similar interference problems. Almost sounds like the brackets holding the pucks (and the e-brake mechanism) are bent, or you managed to damage the brake line while installing the relo brackets.

Are the pucks hitting the relo brackets on both sides?

Yeah, both sides were very tight to install, because they are up against the dampers. (Sorry, I can't seem to get on the other site right now, so I couldn't read any answers- yet...)
I posted pics of the parts involved, as best I could.
So, maybe there is something bent, I really don't know. As long as that can't cause problems, I guess that it won't matter.
Now I have to find the real problem for the soft pedal!

I also had clearance issues with my BMR bolt-in relo brackets. Like the above post they fit but they were in contact....I actually ground a flat spot into the pucks to provide some clearance.

That might be a good idea!
Would it hurt anything to do that, Injuneer?

Mine are BMRs, & that's how they look, too! I would up-load some pics if I knew how...

Won't hurt anything to grind a little rubber off the puck. I removed mine completely for weight reduction.
