There are no extra units to sell. :) CamaroBoy96Z28 01-16-2009, 01:50 AM Honestly, the 6 speed should have been standardized at least 2 years ago. JakeRobb 01-16-2009, 07:55 AM Honestly, the 6 speed should have been standardized at least 2 years ago. In an ideal world, sure, but it's only been around since MY2007. What you're asking for is instant production capacity for over a million units per year, and that's simply unheard of. Gripenfelter 01-16-2009, 04:11 PM I'm waiting on this transmission so I can put it into my 93 with an LS3. LS3 will be far from stock as well. There are a couple different versions of the rear-drive version (6L50, 6L80, 6L90), and probably a couple different versions of the front-drive version as well. I'm pretty sure that both Camaro SS and the trucks get the 6L90. Regardless, they still have to ramp up production to support factory needs before they can support the aftermarket. I think the SS is getting the 6L80. The 6L90 is available in the '09 CTS-V. That version handles some serious HP and Torque. Tsujin 01-21-2009, 01:54 PM I think the SS is getting the 6L80. The 6L90 is available in the '09 CTS-V. That version handles some serious HP and Torque. According to the spec sheet that was released a long time ago, you're right, the SS is getting the 6L80, and the LS/LT gets the 6L50. Big Als Z 03-07-2009, 12:23 AM The RWD tranny is different then the FWD set ups. The FWD/AWD units are the ones that GM and Ford worked on. The RWD/AWD/4WD models are made in house by GM. Carmello 6l50 10-30-2009, 03:10 PM Does anyone know if I can bolt the torque convertor and transmission up to it and use the same signals from my computer as used on the 4l60E? I know I will have to alter my trans mount and use floor shift. Will the stuff like speed sensor and stuff like that work somehow? Has anybody experimented with this or tryed using it in an older hot rod with hei distributor? The transmission is supposed to have an on board computer. What does this mean? Any help would be greatly appreciated. JakeRobb 10-30-2009, 03:49 PM I don't think the 6L50 can handle the torque loads involved in that setup. You'd need a 6L80 or 6L90. As for how much effort is involved in making it work, I can't really help you there. Carmello 6l50 11-01-2009, 09:59 AM How can I make it work with the older chevy motors? | ||
