Alarms

Just trying to get some opinions on the best spot to mount the shock sensor.. The alarm I have is an older alpine dunno which model, but I've been getting a lot of false alarms where it was mounted (installed before I bought the car) and I think it is because of this sensor. Seems to mainly go off then people park next to me and shut their doors. Stupid thing!!!! It was mounted on the right front inner fender well. I read through Brent Frankers install page and tried to see if I could put it under the steering column but it doesn't seem to mount tight enough around it. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!:bow:

I have mine mounted to the Column. Double sided 3M tape and Zip ties... works just fine.

AS long as the shock sensor is oriented correctly (ie some shock sensors have to be mounted a certain way...) it should perform fine on the column once it is properly adjusted.

GM locates the shock sensor for the factory alarm in the spare tire well on top of the passenger wheel well housing.
