i originally made a thread about getting shorty headers from BBK. But now im thinking about going with the Pacesetter LT's. The ones i seen are on ebay for 325$ with free shipping painted black with the emission hook ups. All i need to know is how hard are they to install, what else will i need to install them and will i need to replace my cats and if i get magnaflow hi flow cats would they work with these headers. Any help would be useful. thanks

If your thinking about Pacesetter LTs, go with the ceramic coated ones. Check out the supporting vendors (Speed Engineering has them on sale). I just installed Kooks LTs, but from reading other post about Pacesetters, your going to need header gaskets (the ones they supply are junk), one 18"-24" o2 sensor extension, the Pacesetter ORY pipe (maybe a cat if you have to pass emissions). You might want to get a set of header bolts. I ordered the ARP SS 1 inch long with 5/16 head. Not sure what else. Long tubes are easy to install if you have some wreching experience. Just take your time. Do some searches for "Pacesetter install" there is a bunch one here and LS1tech.com.

I would stay away from "painted" headers. JMHO

If you're going to do the headers bit, why not do LT's. I love mine and they weren't too bad to install either.
