geezus freaking kriest, GM may have dropped the ball a few times in 2002 but 2003 seems to be going fairly well so far I really like the CTS even w/out the V8.

I have driven a V6 CTS, and absolutely loved it.... putting a 400hp V8 in it makes me drool uncontrolably... something I have never done for a 4-door car before!

Cadillac is GM's golden child, and pretty much will get anything they want:

A lock on the sigma chassis? Done!
A version of the C6 before Corvette even get's it? Done!
A $100,000 luxury car? Done!
GM's only sigma based crossover? Done!
The fastest sedan GM has ever made in the US (I bet no one here realized this yet )? Done!

I wouldn't write Cien off just yet either.

And it is working!

I have NEVER been excited about a Cadillac before... now there are several that I think are really great, and they may draw my business.

Still waiting for that 2-door CTS (CTC?) though...

You must have a weak, underpowered mind then.

I really like the new Cadillac. It has become GM's best and most exciting division. Now they can really be compared to the likes of their European counterparts.
