I have been having this issue the last couple of times I took my car out last season (it's put away for the winter right now). I notice that when it's been a while that I don't drive my car, 2 weeks for example, when I start it and drive out that there is a bit of condentsation dripping from the exhaust, which I know is normal, but when I come back from my driving around, I notice orange spots all over my garage floor and driveway where the condensation was dripping... I know it's not coolant b/c I have always had the green stuff in there, so what gives? It looks like rust spots... is the inside of my exhaust system rusting? Could this be bad? Thanks in advance for the help.

Probably rust building up in the exhaust.

Yeah the exhaust is rusting due to the condensation, water+metal=erosion.

Is there anything I can do about this?

Not really, what kind of exhaust do you have?

Do you have a mild steel aftermarket exhaust system? The stock system is stainless, and won't rust. But many aftermarket systems are not stainless, because of the higher price. That's why the Borla system is so expensive. The mild steel IM pipe and muffler rust on the inside and the outside. A buddy of mine had a mild steel Mufflex 4" catback on his 9-second 97 SS, and the first pass of the season the exhaust blew a 30-ft long trail of orange rust out the back of the car on launch. Somewhere I have a photo.
Suggestion -Why not add a "Signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods. That helps people answer your questions more accurately.

I have hooker LT's going into the mufflex 4" Y-pipe and mufflex 4" exhaust with no cat.
So Fred from what you're saying it seems this has hapenned to your friends car also LOL. How is his mufflex holding up? Or he has probably changed it since?

He took the Mufflex off to save 50#, ran a 9.04 @ 155.3 mph and decided he needed nore HP. Built a Gen 1 SBC (Dart Iron Eagle block, Brodix heads, MoTeC fuel injection) 383 with a Vortech blower and was running low 8's at close to 170mph in the PRO/Edelbrock Xtreme Street series. One day he decided to buy a new business, and he told me to sell his 97 SS for him. That was 4 years ago. I miss the car more than he does......
I had my own 4" Mufflex on my car for several years, also removed it to save weight. Now its on Joe 1320's car.
I found the picture with the cloud of orange rust blowing out the back of the car.... I'll have to upload it to my website so I can post it.

The pic is a little fuzzy.... but there's definitely a bit of rust blowing out of the exhaust system.

I have Borla XR1's bolted to the collectors, and 3" aluminized mild steel straight pipes back toward the axle (also done by Mufflex). There is a light coating of rust inside the pipes just from being exposed to the air, while the car is sitting on jack stands for the winter. Ditto with the rear rotors. You can see it in this pic:
