37lbs enough /or 42lbs

how much squeeze are 37lbs injectors good for?
on a 383 Lt1 A4?
forged bottom,225/234cam,racetronix pump, mallory 685?
((any other info needed?))

when first starting the build, plenty of ppl told me that 37s would be ok for the stroker and a 150 shot. now that the car is nearly completed, out and running on mailorder tune. getting ready for dyno tune, im being told to get 42lbs injectors and even recommended running two fuel pumps.

If you're running a "dry" system and adding the enrichment through the injectors, the 37's are not enough. The 42's probably would be marginal at best. I'm running 42's on my 383 LT4 A4, and the nitrous system I'm using is a NX wet kit. I'm guessing that the Racetronix pump you have is the 255 LPH Walbro, which I believe should be fine by itself. I've had no problems with mine, I'm running the complete Racetronix setup with that same pump

As noted, depends what kind of a system you are running. With a wet system, the injectors are sized for NA HP, and the fuel is added externally. 37's will support about 525 flywheel HP NA.

With the "standard" LT1 dry system (e.g. NOS 5176), the fuel pressure is spiked to increase flow when spraying, so your injectors are still sized for NA HP, and the fuel pressure increase set to supply adequate additional fuel for the nitrous. If you are using an aftermarket engine management system, that can adjust injector pulse width for the extra fuel when you spray, the 37's aren't big enough, unless you are already running them at a pressure somewhat higher than the stock LT1's 43.5psi.
