That's been there since the convertible came out. That's not new. The only thing that is new is the god-awful front end, a revised interior, and I guess there's something a little different with the back end, although I can't tell just by looking.
I like the new front end. Its not a dramatic difference, but it seems more muscular. It bears a striking resemblence to the Sky front airdam.
Like they stated in that thread, the new radio is much nicer, but couldn't they make it red to match the interior? Or better yet, ditch the red everywhere else in the interior. I always disliked the blood red lighting in Pontiacs. Maybe contrast it with a bit of blue like Mazdas. It would make it look much more upscale.

If I saw that in a parking lot I'd probably not even realize they changed anything.
I rented a 2008 G6 hard top convertible w/ V6 and 4-speed auto. I was disgusted with how it drove. The chassis/steering/handling was incredibly bad. Probably at least in part to the lack of a roof, but still... felt like I was driving a wet noodle dressed up as a sporty vehicle. The windshield had the loudest and most persistent squeak I'd ever heard in a late model vehicle whenever the top was down. It was so bad even the radio and noise from the top being down couldn't even begin to mask it. I almost wanted to take it back to the rental car place.
Before anyone says "well it was a rental"... it had under 1000 miles on it. Unless somebody took it off roading for all 1000 of those miles, it's no excuse.
More amazing than that for me is knowing that this car has a sticker of well over 30 grand and is supposedly closely related to my friend's 08 Saturn Aura which drives very nicely... decent response in the steering and chassis and pretty comfortable too, plus a way nicer and quieter interior.

I think its fine for a mild refresh. Nobody is expecting a brand new G6 and this is not one. All automakers hang new noses or tails on current models to keep them fresh in the marketplace after their shelf life gets closer to expiration.
I liked the looks of the current G6 better than these pics. But that's always a risk when changes to an original design are made just for the sake of change.
