Hey guys, A friend of mine is giving me a set of 2002 Z06 wheels. 9.5s up front, 10.5s in the back. (right?) What do I have to do to make them fit? I understand I might have to bang on the rear fender wheels and possibly roll the fender. Do I need to buy spacers or adapters to make the wheels bolt on? Where to buy?
Another problem I have now is deciding on which tire. Tirerack.com has a set of Wide ovals for $780. The Michelins will run me $1,330. Are they worth the extra cash? Are the Wide Ovals good enough for spirited back road driving? I don't take the '93 Z/28 to the track.

My records show the C5 Z06 wheels are:
Front: 17 x 9.5" 54 mm offset.
Rear: 18 x 10.5" 58mm offset
Fronts will fit with no problem.
Backs will be against the inside fender liner, may require cutting the projecting edge off the jounce bumper bracket, in extreme cases may require an adjustable panhard rod to recenter the chassis over the axle. Theoretically, the backspace/width conbo results in a backspace that is about 0.05" greater than the 17x11 50mm wheels, so if you follow the FAQ post for those, it should work out OK. Not likely you would have to roll the fender lip, since the outer edge of the tire is going to be 0.50" deeper in the wheel well than the 17x11's.

Thanks Fred. I saw the FAQ and saw that I might have remove some of the bumper bracket which is no big deal. I just didn't realize the bolt pattern was the same.
Good luck with the Wide Ovals? Decent about of miles?

Ok, the wheels came in but no lug nuts. I can't really complain, my friend won't even take money for shipping the wheels to me.
So where can I get a complete set up lug nuts for these Z06 wheels?
