ImportedRoomate 11-07-2008, 08:32 PM I guess that's one way to guarantee you get msrp. 2010_5thgen 11-07-2008, 09:17 PM all it is is buying the rights to put an order in. you can go to a dealership and do that for free. We all have the choice to REFUSE CAMARO MARKUPS. There are plenty of Chevrolet dealers out there that will sell you the car at or below MSRP. 5thgen69camaro 11-08-2008, 09:12 PM It's extremely sad when dealers do this. It is the "right to build and purchase" which sounds like a service to me. Its against Ebay policy. Pruettfan 11-11-2008, 03:26 PM With the economy and credit markets where they are I don't think very many cars will be sold at MSRP or more. I am glad I decided to wait a bit. I suspect within a few weeks of hitting the dealerships (perhaps a couple of months) these cars will be selling under MSRP. These dealers are delusional if they think this is another ZR1. Heck the ZR1 prices are dropping very quickly already. Eric77TA 11-11-2008, 04:05 PM I like how he sends them HERE to see how to build their car - "Please go to CamaroZ28.com for a full list of items available depending on how you wish to build your car." JasonD 11-11-2008, 04:48 PM I like how he sends them HERE to see how to build their car - "Please go to CamaroZ28.com for a full list of items available depending on how you wish to build your car." Hey, thanks for pointing that out. He's referring to our killer CamaroBuilder (http://www.camaroz28.com/camarobuilder) application, of course. :cz28: Chevycobb 11-11-2008, 05:37 PM Hey, thanks for pointing that out. That reminds me...your CamaroZ28.Com Series III Die-Cast cars (http://www.cz28store.com) are on the way to you this week. ;) Sorry, couldn't help it. Ya left it wide open for me. Chevycobb 11-11-2008, 06:14 PM cool!! do I have 10 or 11 coming :D and I dont blame you, I would have been next to that GS racecar at sema pimping those things JasonD 11-11-2008, 06:31 PM cool!! do I have 10 or 11 coming :D Heck, I don't even remember. I just fill the orders and give people what they have coming to them. and I dont blame you, I would have been next to that GS racecar at sema pimping those things The resemblance is a bit spooky, ain't it? In the near future, there's going to be a little bit of a story in my blog here covering this. But anyway...sorry to take things on a tangent...dealers selling the Camaro on eBay... 5thgen69camaro 11-11-2008, 06:35 PM It's extremely sad when dealers do this. If Dealers auctioning for markups are linking to your camaro builder, maybe some text like this in the builder? "REFUSE TO PAY OVER MSRP" or "IF YOU GOT HERE FROM EBAY WELCOME, SET UP A WWW.CAMAROZ28.COM ACCOUNT AND STOP BIDDING" JasonD 11-11-2008, 07:09 PM That gives you guys alot of influence. "REFUSE TO PAY OVER MSRP" or "IF YOU GOT HERE FROM EBAY WELCOME, SET UP A WWW.CAMAROZ28.COM ACCOUNT AND STOP BIDDING" From the day we released the first version of CamaroBuilder, it has always said "Refuse Camaro markups!", right in the notes section under the Builder. 5thgen69camaro 11-11-2008, 07:21 PM From the day we released the first version of CamaroBuilder, it has always said "Refuse Camaro markups!", right in the notes section under the Builder. Opps youre right. Still regular print at the bottom like the legal speak most people dont read. I just mentioned it as an idea to have it stand out because its somthing Chris seemed to feel strongly about. Im kinda indifferent if someone else wants to pay markups because I think its going to come down at some point. | ||
