Very nice work, you can see alot of effort went into that. Maybe sandblast the bolt heads for the MAP sensor and repaint them, that is about the only thing standing out against an otherwise flawless job. What kind of paint did you use on this?

that looks awesome! I tried to polish mine when I had it off but it never even got close to that shiny! I noticed the other day after about 5 years the paint on the intake has started to bubble up in one spot.

Can you give details on your sanding and polishing? What grits you used, polish brand, etc?

Can you give details on your sanding and polishing? What grits you used, polish brand, etc?the polishing took a little bit of time. the key is sanding it smooth and trying to get marks and scratches off it, i started with 400 grit wetsanded, then to finish it up i used 600 grit wetsanded, plenty of water and not pressing really hard when you are about to finish, going over it lightly. then i polished it all by hand, i used those blue shop towels and mothers aluminum metal polish, (the red and white tin) just sat there and put some elbow grease into it, went over it 2wice to make sure i got it all.same technique for the fins as for the fuel rails.

Get some pics of it installed already. :pmight be a while lol the block its sitting on is the one this intake is going on. car was a v6 car originally and its getting a fully built 383 with an AI combo, and full driveline swap, most of the chassis and suspension is done but still need a few things for the motor before i can get started on it,and get it dropped in.

They are nice valve covers. Will they clear the alternator? I know some valve covers will not.
