that not true... since you could till put gas in it, BUT yu could still rack up milage... would just be a whole lot of work on the owners part, and lord help them if they find a hill.

I wouldn't be surprised to find an LS9 Camaro at SEMA. I would expect it more than anything really.

I would like to see a naturally aspirated 7.0L C6.R/TransAM/road race-style Camaro also.

Either or both could be fueled by E85.

i would love to see the ls7 in the camaro at sema. i would rather have that in my camaro than the ls9. i was reading an article incar and driver where they compared the z51vs the z06vs the zr1 and the z06 was actually right with the zr1 with all the testing except the 30-60times and other times. as far as 1/4 mile and 0-60 and 0-100 it was nearly identical. i would much rather have the ls7 in my camaro and then put a blower on that.

the thing is, the Z06 is already tire limited. The Z06 and ZR1 already use huge rear tires, but when you've got over 600ft-lbs, you need even more tire (or some tricky suspension mods) to even consider "hooking up" :)

If it weren't for the cash crunch now, I betcha GM would be working on a dual-clutch transmission with a dedicated launch mode like several other supercars use.

If I had the means, a 2SS with an LS9 swap could be made to pass the California emissions test. :D

i think thata ls7 would hook up in the camaro with 295 pirelli in the rear. its all a matter of whos driving.
i could rip loose the tires in the camaro with the 285 i bet. well im sure anyone could.

The LS7 isn't a very good platform for a blower. High compression, thin cylinder walls...

An LS3 would be a better starting point. In fact, that's basically what the LS9 is. If you want to bolt on your own blower, I'd start there.

thats what im planning on doing. 400+ hp just isnt enough for me. im wanting to get at least 500- 550 to the wheels.

that is deliscious. Every time I see the LS9 and all the technology that goes into it, my mouth just begins to water. I wonder what the price is from GMPP??

The LS7 is like $15,000...so me thinks like $22,500-$25,000 for the LS9

I love that idea. Buy an engineless car cheaper that gets 0 MPG. Pass cafe, then contract GM or whoever to install the engine of your choice as long as it meets emissions. Voila!

Matter of fact there should be a stoping point on the line until your transaction goes through. Then once you own it you pick the engine, car goes back on the line :p

Looked at another way, I think it's cool that we can order an LS9 with Corvette ZR1 delete.

 Perhaps along with that engine delete checkbox for the new Camaro, we could also have a "primer only, paint delete" checkbox. That way you can not only get it with the engine you want, but also with the exterior paint color you want.

Take it to it's conclusion. A "body in white" option would let you build it with *everything* the way you want it!

i wish things were this open with what you wanted and how you wanted your car. like it was back in the day!

as far as the ls9 price im gonna say 25,000 is way too much. if the ls7 is 15,000 and that is all hand built(reason for high price), i would say somewhere between 12-18 thousand.
