Clutch won't bleed, almost no pedal resistance
I'm just putting my motor back in, and I'm hung up with getting the slave back in the tranny. At first, I slid the clutch fork in, but apparently not all the way, so once the slave was bolted in, I pressed the clutch, and it was extremely stiff. I took it apart again, and the fork was sort of lodged in the little casing area. I pulled it back out, and used a screwdriver to pry the clutch fork back into place, it's good and solid in there now.
Now, I had the slave cylinder out of the tranny, and my buddy (like an idiot) hops in the car and depresses the clutch pedal. The rubber boot and everything slid off that little rod in the slave, and fluid started leaking out. I put it back together, as best as I could, bolted it back to the tranny, and now its likes theres a bunch of air in the lines.
I read that this is a "self bleeding" system, so I figured I'd just try and pump the crap out of the pedal for a while. 12 minutes later, my legs couldn't move, so I gave up.
The fluid level in the resevoir doesn't even drop. I pulled the line off the back of the slave cylinder, and fluid started pouring out again. Does anyone have any idea what the hell I did/am doing wrong?

You need to bleed the hydraulics yourself.

By pressing the pedal with the slave off the fork, your buddy may very well have damaged the slave cylinder. If bleeding doesn't fix your problem, try replacing the slave.

one thing i've done is over fill the master and go under car use your hands to push in the slave as far as you can then pull back out like six times make sure the master stays full what that does is manually pushes the air up the line and out of master each time you push it in wait about 15-20 seconds to let the air travel up the line good luck man
Is it the LS1 style trannys that have a bleeder screw only? I read a FAQ that showed where it was, but I cannot for the life of me find it.
I also tried manually compressing the slave cylinder, holding for a little while, then releasing about 10 times. It actually helped a little, there is a tiny bit of resistance for the last 1/3 of the pedal swing..
Anything else I can try? Or is my slave f*cked?

You're slave is most likely broken and needs to be replaced. If fluid was leaking out, the seals are probably torn.
Ok. I assume I can just find one at a parts store? Whats that gonna run me?
The slave doesn't leak anything, by the way, and is still pretty tough to compress by hand.. I don't know how to tell if the seals would be bad or not..
