You might want to delay exhaust changes

In posts at the Pontiac G8 forums http://www.g8board.com/forums/ there were many posts regarding aftermarket exhaust system changes that have already been made by owners on the V8. I'd have to say that the overall impression I was left with is that more research needs to be done by the aftermarket guys to eliminate or reduce the "drone" that is produced by the AFM system that comes with the automatic trans. There are more than a few vendors and they all seem to have the same problem in the most common crusing rpm range (freeway).

I'd guess that the performance and gas milage figures with the G8 would end up being pretty close to the Camaro too. Its the same engine, but I believe it is a front wheel drive car. Dunno how much difference that would make....

G8 uses the L76 engine and the Camaro uses the L99 engine for the A6.

You can see why I'm not a real expert on the G8, but isn't the G8 XP going to be the newer 6.2?

The only real difference between the L76 and the L99 is .2 liters of displacement. If I'm not mistaken, even the heads are the same.
