What kind of tranny and rear end?JackB03 10-10-2008, 09:17 AM Im putting a 383 street/strip engine from VRE and getting some LE2's with custom cam from Elliots, in my car very soon. Im curious what kindve tranny and rear end I should go with. And with the rear-end, what all do I need? Im getting a 12 inch, but is there anything else i need back there? Jack 12SCNDZ 10-10-2008, 05:40 PM If you've still got the computer in the car, then a properly built 4L60E will work fine for you. You'll have the benefit of the low (3.08) first gear, and overdrive. If you don;'t want to utilize your computer, you could go 700R4, which still has the same first gear, and O/D. If you want to buy a bunch of extra parts, then you could go TH400. It's definitely the strongest, but it doesn't have the first gear ratio or O/D that the others do. Give me a call, if you'd like to discuss it further. Thanks, Frank CPT 302-250-1202 | ||
