Tranny pause when shifting

At WOT from first to 2nd it pause t0 long before it shifts. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Do i need to program this out somehow? Any idea's would be great. i can't kick someones *** when it runs like that. It is a new tranny and it did ths with the old one too. Thought the new one would fix it but it hasn't.

I am not a tuner but you should be able to address it in tuning I would post in tuning section or possibly contact a tuner for advice. There are many variables when it come to shift strategy and kickdown
