well, in my years of being on this board, I have not heard one negative thing about the Spec Stage 3.. I know that if mine goes out, thats the one thats going in my car.

There are three different materials available from what I have seen. Not sure which one is the one to go with...

Ask people in the LT1 forum since thats where I have seen a majority of the Spec posts. From what I have read its very streetable and leaves everyone impressed.

Good luck!

Iam still the stock unit that came in my 01 SS. I did notice that SLP is advertising there clutch package with the billet light weight fly wheel and they (SLP) DO say it can hold up to their "Ultra Z" power.........530hp (at the motor)

It is very affordable compared to others, but is it the real deal???

I'd have to say go with the Mcleod Rev-Lok II! Best clutch for our cars in my opinion!!! It'll hold up to anything you can throw at it! Got a few friends goin 10's and 11's on it with no problems!! It also retains stock feel!! I love this clutch, it is amazing!! I've heard bad things about the star stage 3, they say it is supposed to handle up to 600 hp or something like that, and i've heard numerous stories of it failing with a lot less power than that after only a few thousand miles. Just givin ya a heads up, check into the Rev-Lok, you won't be disappointed! Especially if you are planning on doing major power in your car! Oh yeah, and by the way, it's one of the most affordable too, only $420 from Thunder Racing and you can use your stock flywheel, or if you prefer, get an aftermarket one. Good luck on whatever you decide to go with!!

Also, since your car is a 2000, your gonna need to get updated hydraulics with whatever clutch you go with, and make sure they either already come with the drill out mod done to them, or that you do it before they're put in.
