Hello Everyone,

Looks like my car will be in need of a tranmission soon. It appears to be slipping a little under hard acceleration. Checked fluid and its fine. I wanted to upgrade my converter from stock anyway so I figure might as well do the tranny.

I was considering the Performabuilt Level 2. My car is just bolt ons right now and does not see the strip. Its basically a fun weekend car. I was also considering their 9.5 inch converter (2800 Stall) as a package since they have a deal going right now.

My question is how many people run this transmission and converter? How does the converter compare to say a Vigilante quality wise?

I did a search but really didnt come up with much.

FYI..I plan on upgrading to a stroker in the future, but it will still be relatively tame (under 400 RWHP) as I like the everyday drivablility. Is the level 2 still ok?

Thanks for your help guys!

I love my performabuilt level 2 ans yes it will hold up to the horse power you want to make. Shifts great and is tough.

Call Rossler's in Girard Ohio, he is one of the best in the country period. You will get it quickly and it will be right.

You won't be disappointed.

I have had a couple of Carl Rossler's racing trans ('glide, TH400) and they are among the best if not THE best race trannys. But I don't know how much he is into the 4L60's as they are not commonly used in racing.
