4th gen seats into 3rd genken debol 12-31-2002, 08:42 PM I know the fronts are bolt in and the backs require a little work but what exactally needs to be done to the back??? JasonD 01-01-2003, 12:55 AM ken they bolt right in, only diff is the rear upper is split in the third gens....... taner triumph 01-01-2003, 04:50 AM Ken, Get ahold of Chris(iroc85ss) He knows. Steven IrocSS85 01-01-2003, 03:47 PM yeah Ken, I can show you on mine when you come pick up the books/strg. gear. its easy, not really any "work". chris kandied91z 01-01-2003, 07:19 PM just bolt them in, nothing at all............the only reason that some claim there is any work is on certain models with the split bench their are metal pins that are welded to the rear that can sometimes make it "harder" to latch the rear backing... if you have split rear seats you just have to push a little harder to get the backing to lock in place; it will not hurt or disform the seat in any way and will keep you from the hassles that many see when trying to remove it. if anything the fronts are the hardest just because you have to move the seat in 2 different positions to get the bolts to line up. if you can call it hard. i've taken mine in and out so many times i can do it less than a minute or two. ken debol 01-02-2003, 06:46 PM a minute or 2 ok ill pay you 60.00 bucks an hour to come put mine in, but I only pay for time worked so what are we talking 3.00? Ken:D kandied91z 01-02-2003, 07:50 PM in that case it may take a day or two. :D seriously though it isn't bad, took me 15 hours total to redo the complete carpet setup and install the 4thgen seats the first time i did it. it wasn't fun at all. now when i do work on my car under the dash it's alot easier to remove the front two seats rather than trying to work around them so i've become so use to doing it it's a simple procedure. you should have no problem at all with it. good luck. :) | ||
