I got overspray on my chrome Z06 rims from a recent paint job. I do not want to mess up the rims so I have not tried to get it off. I was wondering what I can use, I think acetone will work but I don't know if the chrome can handle it. What do you guys think will work best? Thanks

I just use Mother's mag and aluminum polish and some elbow grease.

Try a clay bar. Do not use any chemicals on chrome.

ok good thing I did not try the acetone. I am going to go out and buy some mothers polish and a mothers clay bar. I hope it does the trick.

try the clay bar on the inside of the rims to see if it will dull the chrome on the outside

You shouldn't need polish. A clay bar and some "quick detailer" spray for a lubricant will remove a lot of stuff. Try it that way first.

It'll probably be a lot quicker to do it this way. Mother's polish usually costs me a half hour a wheel.
