what is better 2-10lbs or 1-20lbs bottle?

I have 1-10lbs bottle right now. I'm looking to get less pressure drop through my quarter mile runs. I'm running a 150 wet shot.

Stick with one 10lb or switch to one 15lb, pressure drop isn't much concern at this level.

Back to your original question, if you can afford the extra weight two 10lbs are the way to go.

hmmm, maybe your right I don't have my pressure gauge mounted yet so the only one I have is on the bottle. I guess I just assumed it drops a good amount after 7 seconds or so.

Do you have a bottle heater? The nitrous "auto" cools as you use it up. Some of the liquid in the bottle has to flash to vapor pahse to fill up the empty space created when the liquid was used up. It gets the heat required for vaporization by pulling heat out of the liquid nitrous, cooling the liquid nitrous down. As the temperature drops, the pressure drops. Replace the heat and the pressure will not drop as much.

I spray a 300-shot out of a single 10# bottle, and have no problem with pressure drop. Bottle is all the way in the back, has a standard high flow valve, and a -6AN line to the front. Bottle only lasts 2-3 passes, but why add extra weight, when you can just swap bottles?

Really? I don't see how you can maintain good bottle pressure on the 3rd pass and see unchanged performance. At that level (true 300hp) your consuming alot of nitrous and in my opinion the second pass your losing performance robbing pressure.

On our Top Sportsman/Quick 8 car we run 2 15lb bottles spraying 250 per hit (3 hits total) and we are seeing pressure drop, the racepak shows this dip in pressure. New bottles go in after every pass or the car will slow down, we've tried going 2 rounds with 1 set of bottles, it doesn't fly.

I'm not here to argue with you just stating what I know and what I was tought.

no I don't have a heater, I realize the importance of having one and plan on buying one in the near future. However, I can't see how having one would help if at the beginning of the run I'm at the correct pressure. Maybe the torque flood at the initial hit makes the car not "feel" as fast in the top end.

For the cost of 2 10# bottle and 2 heaters, you can run a NANO system and have absolutely no pressure drop and have the ability to use all of the nitrous in the bottle.

Tha NANO universal 3000 kit is only $379 and will easily handle your 150 shot.

Note that I said 2-3 passes. 3 is a push.

I've looked into the nano and I thought the price was $550. Interesting idea at only 379. The only downside I can see is having to fill the N bottle.
