Ill start with the bad...
5th gear does not engage...I was told it did buy the guy I bought it from but .....it doesnt. Bad synchros or shift fork?
It isnt show quality. Not bad but not gonna win any awards. Slight spiderwebbing in the front bumper. Paint chip on drivers side headlight. Scratch on spoiler. Crack in leather/vinyl by radio. Slight drivers seat bolster wear. Headliner was put in by a blind man...Could use new sunvisors. Hoods a little dinged up. Pass. Side headlight motor works fine but makes noise

Motor has less than 2500 miles on it. I am nitpicking the car and being very honest. From 10 foot you wouldnt notice most of what I listed.
As far as it not running right now...if anyones interested Ill take a vacation day or 2 and get it fixed and running great....and I wont macgyver it

Car has 4 bolt splayed mains as well.

Runs very good. Plenty of vacuum....streetable but not something you would want to drive around at 30 mph every day ;) It does have 1.5 RR's on it now...I have 1.6 roller tips to go with the car. I believe those specs are with 1.6's?

Its almost impossible to sell anything non-running...which I totally understand. So Im going to figure out what the problem is and fix it. Car will be running soon.
If you want a low cash price "non-running" make an offer I might take it

How did they come up with 389 cubic inches?

Not exactly sure how they came up with 389...slightly longer stroke I imagine...somewhere between a 383 and 396.
Its not running yet...Im off work tomorrow and may have someone coming to help me get it goin. I dont have the proper tools to check spark...fuel pressure etc.

If you do a 3.875" crank, and no overbore, you come out with 389 ci (4 * 3.875 * 3.14) * 8

Someone has to want to build thier LT1 out there....if its a Z28 ..a 6 speed.. has T-Tops and books at least around $5,000 I may trade you! Then the major part of building is done! :)

Car is still not running...I havent had alot of time to work on it.
Ive narrowed it down to a ground problem. Hopefully be fixed soon

Car is running great..It WAS something really stupid that was wrong with it...
The charcoal fuel vent appearantly disentegrated and plugged the vent line. The fuel could not vent any condensation and the car was trying to run on fuel with A LOT of water in it. Ill need to put a new canister on and clean out or replace the line....but the car runs great right now.
It was stored in a heated shop all winter in Rockford IL...where it sits now...I have taken it out and driven it to make sure its running good but it has no plates or insurance so buyer will have to see it in Rockford.
