I like the lip on those rears. :) It looks like a machined or polished lip on the back wheels. Does the front lip's finish match? I can't tell from the pics.

yeah, the polished edge goes from the edge of the rim to right about the end of the spoke. the polished area is a lot wider than it is on the factory zr1 wheels. they are real sharp looking IMO.

here is a larger pic so you can see the lip on the front wheel a little better ( click the hi-res option on the top left once you go to the page, then put your mouse on the pic and click it with when it looks like a magnafine glass to blow it up full size)....

i didnt expect to be so pleased with them. i really only ordered them because i wanted the 11" rim....

Did you have to special order them with the lip. I looked on oe`s website but didn`t see that specific wheel

Have you had any problem with vibration or the wheels not balancing.I had read some reviews where there were some people with those issues with oe wheels

ss#1230

well, ive only driven it about 50 miles so far, but i havent noticed anything at this point.
ill be paying attention though.

when i took the tires and rims to have them mounted and balanced the guy didnt say anything about them being hard to balance and it didnt take very long either. but i was surprised to see how much weight was used on one of the wheels.......

I was a little worried with my 18" Z06s, but they balanced out very nicely;)

That looks awesome! Just wondering, have you had your car repainted? I noticed you said you've had it since you were 16. It's nice to see a well kept SS!

nope, that is her original paint. i need to have her polished out and detailed by a pro. Once I do that, she'll really look like a brand new car. every once in a while I'll have someone tell me that ive got a nice car, and they ask me if it is new......pretty cool.

thanks for the complements guys. i really like the LS motors, they are insane, but the look and the sound of the LT1 SS can't be beat IMHO.

thanks guys...

okay guys. try the link above. i dont think that oe concepts and oe wheels are the same company as the o e wheels on ebay. oe concepts is in colorado, and oe wheels is in riverside Ca. the o e wheels on ebay is in florida....

no, i had no idea that they were going to have such a large polished lip. the picture in the ebay auction only showed the 9.5" wheel, and it didnt have a very large polished area either. when i opened up the box i was really pleased with the way they looked.

i didnt actually order them on ebay. i just called the number given in the auction, told them the ebay item number and the took my CC number and sent them out. they were pretty cool.

Nice ride. But arent these a little different? I thought these were new zr1s. With a bigger lip.

im not sure what you mean. different than what? "new zr1"? like the C6 ZR1???

As far as the lip, the original 5 spoke C4 ZR1 rear rims didnt have a real wide lip on them. they do however have deep lug wells. the zr1s had a rear end that was 4" wider than the standard C4. the rear wheels had less backspacing than replicas and have a 36mm offset while most aftermarket wheels have 50mm offset so that the wheels dont stick way out of the fender......

Ok so was wondering why chrome zr1 didnt have the same lip.
Guess mine are the oringial 5 spoke c4s

Compared to this 1. Which I thought they were calling a new zr1.

i think the issue is that you have the 9.5" rim on the front and the rear.
the replica 11" rear wheels should have more lip than the 9.5" rim, as well as the factory ZR1 11" wheel. like i mentioned before, the factory 11" wheel will have a deeper lug well.

True, That I did forget. My 17x 9 all around. I need to get some 17x11 for the rear.

Those look sick! Did you have to do any grinding or inner fender beating or anything else to get them to fit and not rub?

Edit: Forgot to say, if your wanting new caps then you can get them from here,

thanks.

yup. had to beat in the fender at the bottom, inside in front of the tire. i also rolled the fender lip....

they came with crome lug nuts. i used the factory nuts with caps because i like that look better.
