Car is a '96 Formula. Is replacing the washer pump accomplished by unplugging the electrical connector and using a pair of pliers and pulling the pump out? Or is there another way?

I never replaced mine, but I was able to find the w/washer reservoir in the pile of parts I've removed from the car...... :D

The pump has a nipple on the bottom that just pushes into a grommet in the reservoir. To remove the pump, after the wire and hose have been pulled off, pull the pump forward to snap it out of the two "bumps" that hold it in the reservoir, and twist it back and forth while pulling upwards. There are no fasteners of any kind.

Thanks Fred.

I determined the pump is good. However, I noticed that as the windshield washer is turned on, the washer fluid is running out from under the cowling. I guess either the hoses or the T-connector are bad.
