engine complete - "maf and cai" lt1 139000 miles
trans l460e
rear end 2.73 limited slip
I dont know what is good, but got it for parts anyway

the interior is loose carpet is gone, found the registration in the dash, and a receipt for a key from local Chev dealer
nir on the air bags, 110mph spedo,
front end is a different color and the headlights and brackets are gone

"no key"

how can I hot wire it with no key? just to see if it runs and drives I have been looking through the search back to 2002, read about the chips in the key but what about bypassing the computer?

possably could switch the computer form my car

not real sure about the 94 year, regerstration says 94 the door says 9/93?

why dont you just take the vin to chevy and they will cut you a key on the spot, instead of fooling around with the ignition system and possibly make it even harder to get the car started..

Nothing wrong with it being a 94 and having 9/93 on the door. The 94 model year started in September 93. Check the VIN. The 10th character would be "R" if its a 94. And that's what shows in the photo of the RPO code tag you posted.

Probably best located in "General..... " tech, since it isn't engine specific. I'll move it there.

Good save... It looks like a decent project car to fix up for someone that is in need or like you said parts are always great.

Wow, they were going to crush that? Usually they at least cut the engine out. Nice find. That thing looks pretty complete considering some F-bodies I've seen in the junkyards.

+2.

Just had a key made for my car. They will charge you about $25 to look up the VATS number in the computer (be sure to ask which VATS number it is for future reference) and another $25 for the key,

Be sure to call your dealership though. I went to one and they said they couldn't do it because it was older than a 95, then I went to another dealership and they had the whole thing done in fifteen minutes.
