Steel wheels

Will the steel wheels from the base 4th gen Camaro fit my 97 Z28? Is the base wheel 16x7 or 16x8? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes....the base steel wheels did change from 97-98 because of the larger brakes though. I believe the "steelies" were all 7" wide. =)

They are 16x7 and should fit fine even on 98+ cars as the base cars could still be had with steel wheels.

Yes 98+ did have steelies but they are a different part # because of the brake issue....after I did the LS1 upgrade, my winter steelies would not fit on the front as they were bought for a 95 Camaro.

Interesting. They look the same to me but I only had a 94 with steelies. I've seen them on later cars but never noticed any difference.

I even had to buy a 98+ spare so I could use it on the front, lol
