Dyno tune for Procharger????

Just installed my procharger car runs pretty damn good on a PCMforless tune, Think its worth $475 for a dyno tune for my car??? Will I see some decent gain for $$$

Do you know you're getting enough fuel? A wideband O2 gauge may be a nice addition.

At your level, if it runs good and your getting plenty of fuel, then no, you might be wasting money.

Well im getting approx 50-52 lbs of fuel at WOT 40lbs at idle. Whats optimum range be for wideband gauge??

This depends, how much boost you are making...

I have an 8lb pulley but only have seen about approx 6lbs.

i installed a p600b with the 8lb pulley. got 42lb injectors and a mail order tune from pcmforless to get me started. took it to the track and ran 12.8@ 110. then got tuner cat and did some scans with freescan and messed with the tune. i took some fuel out and added some timing. now i dont have a wideband so i dont know if i am still rich or if i am too lean now but my times improved to 12.1@ 116 with a best mph of 117. i think the pcmforless is a good tune to get you started but there is going to be a lot left on the table without a dyno tune

WOW, that's what I was looking for. I have a PCM tune and was wondering the same thing. Ok well Im going to get the tune, Do you think I should get a wideband even after I get a dyno tune, or is that a waste. I dont plan on doing any tuning myself as I dont have any software.

you should see gains from the dyno tune. Also it will be a much safer tune because you will be able to see all the readings and what not. Much lower of risk of breaking something in the shortblock.

If you don't have a wideband in the car, I would get a dyno tune, you don't want your car going too lean.

The dyno tune may or maynot add power, but at least you will know the tune is safe, and that your at the max power level from your combination. I don't think it is possible to mail order tune a Forced induction car to where it should be.

Bryan from PCM's for less will get you dialed in (he always has for me with my different cars/setups).

I would be surprised if you did NOT see any gains from the dyno tune over the mail order tune, as he can get everything dialed in with much greater accuracy and precision on a dyno tune.

I would also reccomend a wideband though, even after the tune. Its always a good tool to have to know you are not running too lean. You shouldn't really go far off from the tune once it is done, but if you have a fuel pump going out or something wacky, then at least you'll be alerted to it before it does any serious damage. And besides, gauges look cool! :cool:

i want to get one, i have a dual pod now with fuel press and boost. Any other location ideas on where to put wideband gauge. dont want a triple pod. Id do a d/s vent mount if they have a blockoff plate i can use. maybe make one myself.
