Just a few final observations. You're going to hear this from the glossy mags anyway, so you might as well hear it here first:

Have you seen the newest cars? The car is flat out HOT! End of story.:metal:

Ignoring the front 1 foot of the car I think it's a hit.
I can't stand the front of any of these new bricks err cars though.
They make their 60's equivalents even look skinny and wedge shaped.
Overall I think it will do good.

At least it isn't a Camcordima.

I personally love the looks. It is modern and acknowledges the heritage of the vehicle without being too stuck in the past.

The car is great. Why nit pick? It is what it is. An innovative design that will be affordable.

Hit or miss? i would call it an over the Fenway Park's Green Monster home run.

looks like a wire on the roof

yes it is a preproduction so how can you say it's poor quality already?

short frt/long rr overhang for forward motion look(like the 1st gens and bimmers) If you look at Ferraris, it's the opposite.

Droopy rr bumper?? look to 1st and 2nd gens? they too flow upwards and so do pretty much all sports car to either help down force or give some departure angles. The only thing that is "droopy" is the trunk, if only slightly, but the spoiler brings it back up. If anything it should protrude back more and be a little bigger on the SS.
If a vehicle's trunk is high, flowing upwards or blackening the lower bumper help to visually reduce the size of the rr...
Picture moving the rr wheel back some, does it not look funny? Picture shortening the rr overhang, again, does it not look out of proportion? And how small of a trunk opening do you see? Then what? shorten and make the backlight more upright?

The only thing that bugs me is the head-on photos. The grille/lamps doesn't quite look right. Everything else looks good.

Near hit. Definite miss in some areas. I will probably like it 3rd after Third and First Gens. (and maybe early 2nds, so 3rd 1/2?! ;)) Regardless, it's a new and modern CAMARO that will hopefully be very customizable through the aftermarket because this car is pretty tame looking compared to other Gens. There are also things I just don't like about it. So, it will never be my favorite, but that doesn't stop me from talking it up and trying to get more interest in it at shows and such.

tame compared to other generations? completely the opposite in my opinion

why are you analyzing an old test mule picture? seems like a dumb move to me. there are plenty of new pics out that you can bitch about in paint

I thought the concept was pretty good looking in pictures, then I saw it in person and was blown away. I think the production version is awesome in pictures, so I fully expect my head to explode when I see the real thing :D

You might just get blown away when you see it, because the thing is a 4000lb tank. Camaro M1 edtion anyone?

That whole weight thing just doesn't get old, does it? Oh, wait...yes it did...months ago.

BTW...the car in the image is on an angle, so of course the back overhang will look a lot longer than the front compared to what it really is. The build quality remarks are kind of pointless because the car hasn't actually been built for sales yet.

White camaro looks teh good.

Actually it look very good.

THis car will sell a lot more than people think.

And it is smart Chevy is taking orders in October.

Will be able to gauge production demands better.

IMHO, I think the car is great. I've always wanted a '69 and I think this'll be the closest I get, AND I like it more. Love it in fact.

The only little thing I've noticed that keeps bugging me is the fit on the outer front corners of the hood to the facia. It aways looks, all the colors that have been released by GM anyways, that the facia is dropping down because the gap doesn't look consistant. If they could correct that by production, there's really nothing I'd complain about. I'd wish it had dual-zone climate control and A/C seats but it's not a Bimmer, LOL!

Great job GM!!!
