Need Help With Flash Codescboggs5 08-28-2008, 06:29 PM i hav a 93 Z28 and im having a hard time understanding the flash codes. does anyone have or know where to find a list with the codes on it. maybe there is a scanner i can buy, if so, which one would be best cboggs5 08-28-2008, 07:39 PM Ok i found the codes. now i need a lil help deciphering what they mean. i recieved code 13 ( bank 1 {left} heated O2 sensor{open circiut}), code 55 fuel lean, and code 63 (bank 2 {right} heated O2 sensor {open circuit}). i would appreciate any info on what these actually mean Injuneer 08-28-2008, 09:26 PM Use Shoebox's list for LT1 codes. There is a column on the right side specifically for the 93, which from the factory does not have 4-wire heated O2 sensors. It has single-wire, unheated sensors. http://shbox.com/1/Dtcs.htm "Open circuit" means the O2 sensor signal is not getting to the ECM. There is a break in the circuit. Either the wire from the PCM to the sensor is broken, pin in the connector is damaged, sensor is not grounded to the exhaust, or the sensors are burned out. You have to find out where the "open" is in the circuit, and fix it. Odd that you would have a problem with both sides simultaneously. I provided info regarding TTS DataMaster in my PM response. At any time did you run the engine with no sensors connected? If so, it may have set the codes, and stored them. Try clearing the ECM (pull "ECM BAT" fuse for 30 seconds, with the key off). Then see if the codes some back. cboggs5 08-29-2008, 07:56 AM Do i need to run the car after i reset the ECM or do i run the test after i reset it? Would the ECM sending a fuel lean signal cause blue exhaust smoke? | ||
