Vert Sound System

GM, please don't skimp on the sound system for the vert. The 4th gen vert stereos were absolutely horrid. I have always been unhappy with it but didn't realize just how bad it was until I drove my VW golf for a few months and then started driving the vert for the summer. The Golf's stock stereo blows the Camaro's out of the water. Please find some way to include a sub in the cabin. Maybe between the rear seats so drivers can actually hear it.

I don't think the vert would have different audio choices than the coupe. At least it is not mentioned in the info so far.

Audio systems are naturally going to sound better in a coupe than a convertible. Coupes have an enclosed environment and the sound has nowhere to go but inside the cabin. There are a lot of surfaces for the sound to reflect off of, and for bass, to be contained in. Convertibles allow the sound to go off into every direction without trapping it and reflecting it back to the listener. Also, I don't know how new your VW is, but I'd imagine if it's a new car (1-3 years old) it's going to sound better than a ~9 year old Camaro simply because it has newer components.

Nope the vw is the same year as the camaro. You're right about the coupe sounding better but I've been in a few verts that have had awesome sound systems from the factory so I know it can be done. Have you ever heard the stereo in a 4th gen vert camaro? They just took out the back two 6x9s or whatever is in the coupe and called it a day. No bass at all.

Well, instead of the rear speakers being in the rear deck of the 'Vert, it will be in the rear side panels. The # of speakers will be the same, see the 'Stang's.
