Anything wrong with this D1SC?

I just purchased a used D1SC that was supposed to only have 2500 miles on it. Somehow I think its got a lot more. Anyhow I'm a little concerned with the "tensioner pulley" wear and the nics on the impeller blades. I've attached a few pics.

And the impeller. Now is looks just a hair worse than it actually is because of some dirt/dust filling in the nics, but still I'm worried.

What would cause this, running down a gravel road with no air filter???


Does this look like it would be OK to use? I'm building a new motor and I don't want this thing puking pieces into it.

If its not OK, how much would it cost to have it rebuilt?

Wow that tensioner pulley is pretty beat up, you should see if you can get it machined flat again also you might want to check the bearings in it also. As for the blower impeller itself I'am sure the nics in it wont have any affect just make sure the bearings are working good and nothing is loose.

The tensioner pulley is definitely worn quite a bit, and could potentially cause premature belt wear. The nics out of the impeller are not all that uncommon, even the smallest dirt particles can cause that at the speeds the impeller turns. You will be fine. ;)
