1995 Camaro Z28 for sale $6900 OBO tons of upgrades!!!
1995 Chevy Camaro Z28 6 speed V8 T-tops with Tons of UPGRADES! $6900 OBO
I am selling my much loved 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 6 speed V8 that I have been slowly upgrading preparing to road race over the last 8 years. I now have a family and don't have the time to dedicate anymore to it. I am the third owner of the car and it has been very well taken care of. I bought the car in the year 2000 with roughly 78,000 miles on it. The previous owner had a completely new Chevrolet crate LT1 motor installed by Chevrolet at about 71,000 miles because the original motor through a rod. The steering gearbox was replaced because it was leaking as well. I have the receipts and documentation from the 2nd owner for this and all other items I have upgraded as well. This car has been garage kept or covered since I have owned it. There are currently about 140,000 miles on the Z28.
STOCK Details:
350ci V8 LT1 Engine Tremec 6-speed manual transmission Power Door locks Power Windows Cruise Control Keyless Entry T-Tops 3-Channel ABS Air Conditioning Leather Seats Tilt wheel
I have personally done all work on this car since I have owned it and take great pride in everything I do. If you are know these model styel Camaro's, then you know that the interior of the 1993-1996 Camaro's was not near as nice as the 1997-2002 Camaro's. I always really liked the features of the new style which includes a much nicer center console, with multiple cup holders and a better Arm rest that swings to the side. The new dash has a digital Odometer and trip gauge and a much nicer layout (When I swapped the dash, the difference between the new odometer and the original was that the new digital odometer had 15,000 miles more). The new crate motor installed only has about 45,000 miles on it. If you run a carfax on it, you will see the year that I replaced the dash because of the jump in mileage. It all functions perfectly, lights, gauges work 100%. You would never know that this was not the factory dash. During this, I also installed an Auto-meter RPM Shift Light that is discretely hidden behind the driver side defrost vent cover. You can change the RPM Pills to adjust at which RPM 5200, 5400, etc... it lights up.
Custom alarm system with proximity sensor for T-tops security.
Clarion ProAudio DXZ845MC. It reads CD's, MP3's on CD's, has built in storage for ripping your CD's to the built in storage, Sirius ready and much more.
3-way Kenwood speakers and a custom door pillar mounted tweeters.
Custom 12" sub woofer sealed enclosure custom fit behind the rear trunk compartment. The only thing visible is the speaker grill and when the trunk compartment is closed, you cannot see it through the rear window. This sounds great and is very discrete, plus it does not take up any room in your trunk, so you still have room to put your T-tops in to enjoy your sound and the ride. Jenson small amplifier to run the sub.
Custom, embroidered floor mats with the Chevy symbol and Z28, with hold downs so they don't move around. I also have a custom dash mat.
I have an SS style hood, which has a very nice polished grill. If you look at the hood at the right angle, there is a slight manufacturing imprint that is visible (a pattern from the press when the hood was made), but is minor and does not detract from the appearance of the car. You cannot notice it in the pictures and when looking at the car normally. The hood has a few small minor blemishes, one on the corner of the hood and two near the grill on the hood, but they never bothered me enough to repaint the hood because you barely notice them.
The front half of the car was repainted. When I purchased the car the front end was scratched and pitted from rocks (common on these cars because of the front end). Very clean and looks very nice for the age of this car. When compared to others it's age, there is no comparison. When I had the front repainted I did not put the license plate on the front and there are no holes. The hood matches great as well.
I replaced all of the seals on the car around the windows/T-tops and trunk. This car does not leak anywhere and seals great.
Tinted side and rear windows. The power windows work fine, but are slow.
Custom daytime running lights. These glow bright orange when headlights are off.
New Die Hard battery replaced 2 months ago with full warranty from Sears.
Sequential tail light kit. When your left/right turn signals are on, the innermost light lights up first, followed the second and third. You can only do this with 1993-1996 style rear taillights without the amber turn signal. Many people think this looks sharp. http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/sequential.htm
BAER TRACK Series 13" Dual Caliper Pistons with slotted/cross drilled rotors and HAWK performance brake pads. Stainless steel brake lines as well which give a firm peddle feel. I have a band new set up HAWK performance brake pads as well for when they need replaced. Upgraded the rear rotors to slotted/cross drilled and HAWK performance brake pads. http://www.baer.com/products/complete/track.php
Suspension kit 1" with BMR Progressive rate springs. http://www.bmrfabrication.com/misc/sp001.jpg http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm
Front and rear sway bars have been replaced with BMR performance sway bars and polyurethane bushings. http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm
Bolt on subframe connectors.
SLP strut tie bar in the front to add stability and firm up the handling. http://www.lmperformance.com/731/8.html
SLP mid length smog legal headers. I replaced the oxygen sensors when I installed these. I also have the Catalytic converter bypass pipe that I will include for track use.
K&N Filtercharger intake. I average between 17-25mpg on premium fuel, I never run regular. http://www.automotiveconcepts.net/st...811327308.html
Throttle body flow booster and throttle body bypass kit(which keeps the throttle body temperature lower for better throttle response).
160 Degree thermostat to run cooler.
Upgraded ZR-1 style Polished aluminum rims. Front 17x9 275-40-17 Sumitomo tires, about 25% tread left. Rear 17x11 315-15-17 Sumitomo tires, one with about 25% left, the other with 75% tread left (Had a nail in one that couldn't be repaired). All clearance issue related to these were taken care of for a perfect fit. Mine are just like the ones in the following auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-U...QQcmdZViewItem
BMR adjustable pan-hard rod bar. This adds stiffness and allows centering the rear end after putting on the new 17x11 rims. http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm
BMR Lower control arms to add traction and stability.http://www.bmrfabrication.com/F-bodySuspension.htm
BORLA exhaust 3" stainless steel all way from the catalytic converter, with adjustable sounds plates. Stainless steel exhaust tips as well which look great and will never rust.
Crane performance coil.
New Optispark distributor was replaced last year along with the wires and plugs less than 3,000 miles ago.
SPOHN Performance Adjustable Torque Arm with driveshaft safety loop and polyurethane fittings. This will fit all rear ends, 12 bolt, 10 bolt and even a Ford 9". http://www.spohn.net/?action=product&pid=1019
6-speed transmission skip shift kit. This disables the actuator that forces you to shift from 1st to 4th in order to improve fuel economy.
Short shifter with short stick for quick and fun shifting with SLP shift ****.
Hypertech Power Programmer
Completely rebuilt transmission at about 95,000 miles. 5th gear was stripped and grinded when going into it, so I replaced the 5/6th shaft as well as every bearing, seal and syncro inside the transmission. It shifts smoothly and perfectly now.
SPEC stage 2 performance clutch installed and SPEC aluminum performance flywheel. This clutch grabs quickly and makes a big difference compared to a stock clutch. http://www.specclutch.com/
Custom 8MM spark plug wires with routing retainers and NGK spark plugs, the best for the LT1.
Aluminum drive shaft from 2001 Camaro.
Custom built computer programmer module to monitor your car from your laptop while running to log and troubleshoot issues. I will provide this and and software which comes in very handy especially if you are tuning on the car.
Re-programmed computer to adjust for different tire sizes and thermostat to maintain optimum efficiency and accurate speedometer/odometer.
I have a car cover for it as well that I will include that has been used over the last three years on and off.
KNOWN ISSUES:
The power steering pump has a slight leak which throws a very minor amount of power steering fluid from the pulley, but does not affect the operation at all.
The rear end pinion seal is leaking a very minor amount, causing some rear end fluid to get on the exhaust pipe which smells when hot. I believe that the pinion bearing needs replaced as well since it makes a slight noise when driving under load.
The driver leather seet has a worn spot that is lighter than the rest of the gray leather (this is very common on this model)
Light paint scratch on driver side rear quarter panel. Small dent on driver side rear quarter panel. smaller than a dime.
Top small paint defect behind T-tops about the size of a quarter.
MAINTANENCE:
I have always used Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic motor oil and Chevy recommended fluids in all components. Oil has been changed religiously every 3,000 miles or 6 months. Pass smog with flying colors about one month ago.
