drag seats with no cage?BIG_T 08-09-2008, 06:11 AM i know alot of guys say its not safe. anyone have any input? tomcowle 08-09-2008, 08:22 AM I use a set of Kirkey aluminum seats on the factory manual sliders, it works for me. I use a set of Simpson 5 point harnesses with them. As far as safety goes, I race at NHRA and IHRA tracks and the tech inspectors had no issues with them. I built a small perimeter frame inside the seat to stop the bolt/nuts from pulling thru, that was my only concern. I'm getting ready to add a rollbar to my car because I'm getting closer to the 11.49 bar cut off. To the best of my knowledge There are no 5 point harnesses meet DOT regulations 1SlowFormula 08-13-2008, 08:31 PM I use the plastic summit seats on home made brackets without an issue either... Thats how I did it. Thats how I did it. sounds like it would work great, got any pics :p 1SlowFormula 09-23-2008, 12:50 AM Yeah, unfortuantly if I keep lowering this damn bolt-on record I will just have to mount it to the bar, I figured the 2 of you would be interested in my new sig times, LOL...
