When you do stupid things you have to ask stupid questions to fix your stupid mistake.
Here's mine.
I deleted my ABS a few years back by removing the unit and hooking the brake lines from the master cylinder to the original front and rear brake lines. Everything worked fine to that point.
I then installed a line lock between the master cylinder and the tee where the front brakes lines run to each wheel. In the beginning, if I used the line-loc it would hold in the water box, but not on the street (I could push through with ET Streets).
Now it doesn't even want to hold and the brakes seem soft at idle. I have to pump them up to get firm and I'm pushing through the water box even if I pump up the brakes.
I've bled the lines several times, no difference.
I installed a new cam this winter that idles at 67-74 MAP (8-9 in vacuum). My Hot cam idled around 50 MAP and I was having slight problems back then.
Is it time for a vacuum canister? Or do I need to look at the master cylinder?
Or, did I do something really stupid when I deleted the ABS?
