So for all you future 2010 Camaro SS owners, with just a cam and bolt-ons, you have the potential of putting down 500 rwhp naturally aspirated on stock heads. :eek: I can't wait to see what kind of numbers the LS3 will make with ported heads and a big cam. :cool:

Hmm, forged pistons, ported heads and a Procharger might put out some impressive numbers...... :o

Pretty sure they've put down just shy of 450 on a few dynojets w/ just full exhaust, intake, tune, etc. I'd think even a mild cam does have a shot at an honest 480ish...
2001SS4Doc 08-08-2008, 01:40 AM remember the new LS3 crate has the GM LS series Hot Cam ( GMPP Hot Cam (0.525/0.525-inch lift, 219/228 duration), and it is considered "mild" to a lot of people here on the board and the LS3 crate puts out 480

Just not a fan of dynapaks, out of the 3 or 4 tuners in this area, 1 uses a dynapak...guess who gets the most buisness :yes: Everyone flocks there because they think the guy is magic....then they can't understand why they get beat by cars that do 30-40whp less on a jet.
Anyways, wasn't trying to be negative at all...i know how cam only LS motors perform! It will be nice :cool:

LS7 rules the hiway roll races..the LS3 aint no slouch.

Afew weeks ago, I met a guy with a Lotus 7. I noticed that he had an LSx under the "bonnet". I asked him what it was and he told me it was the LS3 crate motor with the hotter cam - 480 horsepower.
I said, that this car couldn't weigh more than 2000 pounds. He said 1600 to be exact.
I said WOW, 1600 pounds and 480 horsepower. After a pause he said; " Yeah, when you hit the gas, you'd better be paying attention". :D
