& they "DEAD" f$ckin hoooook :D, they are EVERY bit as good as the MTs period, no more wheel hop, its gone, now this is testing on the cool street service with 22 psi launching from 3200 rpm, they will only hook better at the track i'm sure, it bogged out some & slowly recovered (never did that with the street tires, even with the 3.42s), i'm glad i didn't go with a 28", it would have been a pig from the dig., i found out my Coopers are only 24.4" tall, not 24.8" like i thought, so the hoosiers are 26.4", this killed off some gearing then before, but it feels much better & doesn't hit 6K near as fast as it did, i really hope it will 60ft. well, maybe at 4-5K it'll launch better, it just doesn't feel much better then a 2.0s, so that answered my question about the hoosiers, i'm very-very happy with them, i'll let you all know how it goes friday night. There is a plus to this, i think i can run out in 1st. on the bottle now & not RPM so fast :). Looks like my traction problems are history.

1.58 60 foot tonight on Hoosier 275/60/15 Hoosier DR's at 16psi. 4500 rpm trans brake launch. 3550lbs 1.76 powerglide and 3.73 gearing. 11.26 A 120.5X mph. 80+ degree weather. Can't wait to hit it with 200hp..:D
3 dead hook passes BUT my first pass made me leary.....my first pass was at 20psi hot. Good burnout and when I relseased the T-brake...it spun hard....as in...it felt like I was on butter and it lasted WELL past the 60 foot. I was told someone after me nearly wiped out and there was fluid on the track. 2.2 60 foot....in the liquid still rules. :D

Yeah on a trans brake sure, this is just a bolt-on LT1, i was told it should 60ft. in the 1.8s easy on a 26" tire & 4.11s, it just doesn't feel like it will, i'll try a 4K lauch, then 4500

With 26" tires, 4.11's and a 6 speed...your first gear probably puts more torque to the track than my setup does:) Goodluck! Heat them up and my guess is 1.65-1.70 60ft..
