When doing an 1/8 mile track with a M6, do you guys use three or four gear shifts? Thanks for any help.

The question should be 2 or 3 gearshifts in the eighth. The 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift should be all that you need but it'll be close with your set up. Depending upon your tire size and max rpm you might have to do a 3-4 but I doubt it.

Yeah I think I got to high of gears(wait or too low of gears, getting myself confused). I will be shifting at 6400rpms. 275/50/15 tire would put me at 90mph at 6400rpms in 3rd gear. A 275/60/15 tire would put me at 97mph at 6400rpms in 3rd gear. Can I reach 97 mph with my set up? or should I just go for 90mph?

in my opinion go for the 97mph
90 is doable in the 1/8 for a street car. it all depends on launch and horsepower
it is smart to think ahead with the tire size ,too small you'll end up shifting costing et and speed

on the other hand 275/60 is a big tire
the question is can your car stand to rev a little higher?

I'm an auto and run 4.11s with 275-60x15 and it shifts into high just before the 1/8 at 6500rpm. My 1/8 mph is 97-98.
So I would say to go with the 60 series witht your combo.
