Please take the time to visit the thread about the exterior of the 2010 Camaro. Many of us have been hoping for a bright blue, but instead got dark blue which is nice, and that awful blue aqua metallic. We have a poll going along with over 450 views. Currently the votes for a bright blue are 75%, and the existing blues 25%. Please help us get our Jetstream, Lemans, Nassau, etc blue. Scott, Cheryl, please take a moment to look at the post. You can see that if Jetstream or a similar color was offered that you would sell 300% more blue cars than the aqua blue metallics. We all want this car to survive, and with a goal of 100,000+ cars to keep the assembly lines rolling this car needs to be as perfect as possible. Please at least make jetstream blue an option as on the vette. Even if it is $1000 more like on the vette, that would be 3 times the amount of existing blue car sales at an additional 1K a pop for GM's pocket. Please help the Camaro faithful get the car we want!!!

Doug Harden 07-31-2008, 04:55 PM I was "told" that the Auqa Blue Mettallic was much more like Jet Stream Blue than what the web page shows........believe me, I asked what peckerhead forgot the Nassau blue option!
blue 79 Z/28 07-31-2008, 04:56 PM NO! lol:p theres no other colors i want. my 79 is lighter metallic blue and i wanted the same depth color on my 10. the problem with the color lineup is there arent many good colors, they are mostly your run of the mill red, white, silver, black etc. they nailed the orange and yellow but those are small volume colors. i want some other nice colors that are off the beating path of bland and normal and i really thought they would nail the blues in that department with deep metallic bright colors. but to me the 2 blues chosen are probably the worst choices you could make, and im not the only one that thinks this. seen the mustang blue? brilliant, corvette? brilliant also. any blue dodge makes....ditto. then you got a handful of these dull confused lifeless colors that gm decided to put on the camaro. blue is a popular color and even if there was a premium id pay it for a better blue. im not the only one that feels this way also, many people do!
here's the blue on my 79

HuJass 07-31-2008, 05:31 PM Don't forget Glacier Blue. That (or something similar) is what I want.
Doug Harden 07-31-2008, 05:53 PM well im going by some colorado pis that were posted. maybe is some people can find some good examples of the color in pics?
I agree.....if it's like the Colorado pic, then NO SALE!
TrickStang37 07-31-2008, 06:15 PM maybe they'll just introduce newer colors in the following years. be patient.
I heard the same thing that Aqua Blue Metallic looked like Jetstream blue, so I drove to my local chevy dealer to take a look, and boy whoever said it was similar to jetstream was full of sh*t!!! It looks even worse in person than on the website. It looks like a cheap premix paint that somebody picked up for $50 a gallon at the local body store to throw a quick paintjob on their rust bucket celebrity. It honestly might be one of the ugliest color you've ever seen. I honestly encourage everyone to go look at a colorado in this color. It almost makes me sick just thinkin of a car as good looking as the Camaro being draped in a color that Stevie Wonder must have created.
blackflag 07-31-2008, 10:26 PM I completely dig the aqua metallic. That would be my choice.

Schismblade 08-01-2008, 12:03 AM No thanks. I was pissed off enough when they cancelled LeMans Blue for the C6. Every car needs a dark blue.
Big Als Z 08-01-2008, 01:27 AM Blue? Are we driving a minivan now?
Sports cars come in 4 Colors: Red, Black, Yellow, Orange
Everything else is extra and a gift.
Remind yourself that the color pallet you see there is not going to be the EXACTLY color, it will be close to what ends up as final product.
Aqua Blue looks to be Jetstream
The Imperial Blue Metalic is an NBM replacement
Inferno Orange Metalic is SOM's replacement

Haha, good observation. But, I do think right after those colors definetly comes a bright/medium blue like Quasar Metallic, in fact I'd place that right after red and black since I find yellow and orange to just be ridiculously over the top.

If you can honestly look at that 69 Camaro, and that Corvette and say they don't look awesome in bright blue, you must be crazy or a jealous mustang owner. Here is a link to the Poll for a bright blue, PLEASE visit and vote.

Looks nice, i'd take 'em in black though imo
missmy79 08-01-2008, 08:39 AM Ok, so the deciples were used extensively for development of the car ... did they not use them for the colors? I personally do not care for a lighter blue for my own purchase. However, when I look at Doug's pic and then at the colorado, I'm going to have to sign whatever petition you guys have cause you deserve better. IMO, argument won.

I disagree. Blues done right are hot.
Aqua blue on that colorado isnt bad. I'll hve to see the camaro in person.. but i really had hoped for a blue like the zr1 blue..
NavyBlue Metallic was awesome.. I dont know about Imperial, but ill have to wait to see it in person as well..
as for Inferno Orange being a replacement for Sunset Orange Metallic, it may be that way in the eyes of the folks at GM, but it pales in comparison to the Sunset Orange. Sunset is so unique, and the way it flips and catches the sunlight, that Inferno cant even come close. Inferno is too "light" to me.

Hot...but if they were red....secks on wheels!!!
Doug Harden 08-02-2008, 12:01 AM Hot...but if they were red....they'd look like a million other cars!!!
Fixed ;)
Big Als Z 08-02-2008, 03:56 AM Ahahaha...ok Doug.
I dont see many, if any, red cars on the road. I dont even see a lot of Red Corvettes.
I think a lot of people are moving away from the red and going to other, louder colors like SOM, Yellow, or crazy blues, greens, etc and even dark metalic grays even. I have even seen crazy pink/pearl coat paint jobs on some high end cars.
HuJass 08-03-2008, 04:13 PM The Inferno Orange is nothing like Sunset Orange Metallic or Sunburst Orange Metallic.
The latter have a more copper-y feel to them while the former is like a pumpkin.
The Sunburst Orange Metallic that used to be on Colorados is a great color. I could get behind that color, but not Inferno Orange.
And we still need better blues.
