I can appreciate a nicely placed 18" rim on a ThirdGen that is lowered enough. I'd never do it myself since we live here in Michigan and I like driving from A to B without any bent or dented rims. I-75 around here is 2 months old and there are already HOLES documented larger in diameter than man-hole covers. Tire selection is not as good as the 17" market. The handling aspect isn't any better either and i'm kind of into that area.

I choose 17" of course. Something different. A Snowflake 10 spoke SS rim would be beautiful in silver but your car is anti silver:cool: You would be doing chrome, correct?

Goodluck!

I would go with the 17's if you drive alot.

18's if your cars a weekender.

I personally went with the 17 beacause tires are somewhat cheaper, (if you want to call G-Force T/A's cheap :)

My 17's look great, and now the look even better with the sportlines. There about a 2-finger gap between the front fender and the tire, and about a 2.5 finger gap in the rear.

Now the real question is what style rim???

I have 17 IROCS, I think that the 17 and 18 crager SS style looks good on third gens, and also the ROH Snypers.

But its a hard choice

well i'm looking at z06 or SS 10-spoke.

yeah the car is kinda anti-silver denny.......:D

only reason i've been considering the 18's is if i go with the vette rims. the little bit that extends the spoke makes the wheel look nicer. but, i won't go with either of them if i can't make them fit right.

the wheel absolutely must stay in the stock dimensions as when looking at them from the outside. i don't want them sticking out or to far in the well in any way. how would i go about making sure of this?

denny........you must have a solution? :)

Personally I'd have to go with 17's myself. I'm not a huge fan of "ricing" out domestic cars, especially Camaros. 18's are cool though if they are Vette rims.

Eureka!!!!! I've stumbled across an idea! Copy what someone else has done like me:D When I got my rims, there were only 2 cars on the net with them that i could find. Andris Skulte had a set had and he also had a pic from a customer who also had them. They looked perfect so SNAG i got a set and off I went. There are roughly 37000 people with the rims now:D They all look perfect, hehe.

You're going to have to do some measuring, borrowing, don't steal, some testing...etc 4th gen 10 spoke rims will fit easier i'd assume than a vette rim. I've seen the 10 spoke SS rim on a 92 RS before and it was very nice but info on how they were put on is not something i know:( Keep searchin' the net. Possibly just have FIKSE make you a set?:D I'm sure they have dimensions that suit a perfect stance.

You thinking about doing a wide body kit also?:p hehe jk!

just so you know when you go to 18's there are a lot less options on what kind of wet weather tires you can buy also a big price difference for the zr's.

$200 on the tires and 10 lbs more on the rim each for what i'm looking at to go to 18"(not worth it). i changed my original ideas and i'm going to go with a billet 17 and a 40 series tire.

should give a nice look to the car hopefully.

thanks guys, i appreciate the suggestions! :)
