Well, its finally time to let her go. Too much blood, sweat, tears and money have been invested and I have just ran out of time and patience. I am selling my beloved 1997 Pontiac TransAm WS6, 6 speed. This car has been babied all its life and taken care of with all my love. I know the entire cars history and have documented all work done to it.
Selling the car as is: It has its defects but with a little investment you can finish what i always dreamed of. Currently I would say the car in un-driveable, it starts and runs but i believe something with the ignition is messed up. The first msd opti was a dud from the factory, it would cause the car to shut off above 5000rpm. Sent it back and they gave me a new one and now the car has a similar issue. It will run and run strong but will randomly just shut off or if you turn it off after it gets to running temp it will not turn over again. Still i think its a minor issue and could probably be resolved with a coil pack system. I've pretty much replaced everything on the car with the best/most recommended parts.

Mods: Car has stock tranny from a 98 LS1 with about 110,000 on it, Center Force Dual Friction, Stock rear. Lou's short stick, Fan switch mod. Kooks headers and Y Pipe, Borla Catback. MSD Opti, MSD 6A (currently bypassed).
Engine: Custom Built 383 from Golen Engine Service:
Car has 129,XXX original miles, Engine itself has about 15,XXX
I decided to do a N.A 383 built ready to handle 150shot all day every day. Sadly the car never saw any N20.
The 383 built from Golen consist of an entire forged rotating assembly, stock ported heads and stock ported intake by Llyod Elliot.
Heads: Aluminum, Three Angle Valve Job, Full Porting (Work Done By L.E). Valves: Ferrea Stainless. Valve Springs: Comp Cams. Rocker Arms: Comp Cams Pro Magnum 7/16 roller rockers 1.52 ratio. Pushrods: Comp Cams Magnum. Headbolts: ARP
Block: 4bolt main, ARP Main Studs, Thermally cleaned and Stainless-Steel Shot. Inspected by MPI process. Bored .030”, honed w/ torque plates and pressure washed. Clevite cam bearing and pioneer freeze plugs installed.
Crankshaft: Eagle Forged Steel Crank, Internal Balance
Connecting Rods: Scat 4340 Forged Steel I-Beam Rods 6” Full Floating
Pistons: SRP Forged
Rings: Speed Pro Plasma-Moly Rings
Bearings: Clevite H-Series
Cam: Comp Cams Hyd Roller. Duration Intake: 236 @ .050. – Duration Exhaust: 224 @ .050. Lift Intake: .585. Lift Exhaust: .544. LSA: 113
Core Plugs: Brass Pioneer Core
Lifters: Comp Cams Magnum
Timing Set: GM LT4 Roller
Oil Delivery: Melling High Vol., Pickup tube and HD Drive
Oil Pan: Canton 6qrt
Gaskets: Fel Pro
Cosmetic: The paint has some defects, some douche keyed my car downtown (twice but it the same spot) it sucks and i never got it fixed. Both sides of the front bumber have been bumped into ( not noticable unless your up close) and the rear bumper has faded from the previous engine having a oil blow by issue. Tint on driver side window is damaged, the same person the keyed the car tried to break in - he never got in so got pissed and keyed the car
Rims and Tires : Wheels have some curb rash but not bent or cracked, Tires need replaced about 5-10% tread left.
Interior : Comes standard with the cracked dash, never replaced it (can get you one brand new for $100). Drivers side seat has a tear/hole. I have a Push Start start button not wired. I have all brand new: 4 Apline SPR 17 LS 6 1/2 components (comes with 2 tweeters so a total of 4) I also have 2 Alpine SPS100A 4in. in the rear hatch. I never completed the install all speakers are wired and car is ready for an amp to be installed, car still has stock radio but is running two of the 6 1/2 from the stock radio through the crossovers.
