In the specs it says it has "usb connectivity". Does anyone know what this means? Could it mean you will be able to hook up your ipod and control it through the stereo buttons? That would be freaking awesome.

BitchinCamaro: What models is the USB port available on, and is it just for iPods?

JohnFitzpatrick: I believe any jump drive can fit in the USB. It will have to have MP3 files to be read, however. You probably won't be able to use an iPod, since they are AAC files. Maybe if you load your iPod in 'disk mode.'

Did they say anything about just a normal 3.5mm stereo plug anywhere?

Yes, in the storage area of the arm rest console there is an aux 3.5mm jack.

Have you not heard of iPods being called an mp3 player? They also use mp3 compression so yes, you could use one theoretically.

Cars with USB all use iPods. I mean think about it, they don't put it in there just to play music off a flash drive.....iPod is the reason for the usb connection...

Actually that is one of the designs, it should be able to play mp3's straigt from a flash drive, ipod maybe, since it does aac, same with Zune, since that is wma, guess i need to do some more research myself on it.

The USB port is in the glove box. It will work with iPod, Zune, flash memory sticks and most MP3 players. They can be controlled from the steering wheel audio controls too. Portable hard drives aren't reccomended but it's possible they would work too if in FAT32 format. It can also sync from your blackberry through bluetooth and play music from there.

For those who haven't seen it yet, here is a GREAT shot of what the USB/3.5mm jack looks like and where it is located in the center console:
