Do I need Limited Slip Additvie?

I have a 1997 V6 with traction control. One wheel spins. I can't find anywhere in the maual that it says for me to put limited slip additive in the rearend.

Do I need to? If I don't, would it help if I did?

I have some rearend noise and I am doing this as a first step.

Traction control is not limited slip diff. Trac. control uses ABS. You may or may not have a LSD.

so I don't have to worry about the additive then right? What would happen if I put it in there?

Probably nothing.

Look at your RPO build code tag for G80. That would indicate you have a limited slip differential.
