Camaro V-8 and regular fuel ?

Wondering if the V-8 Camaro will be able to use regular (87 octane) like the V-8 Mustang ?

Everything I've seen so far on the various articles online says premium for both V8s.

Can it use it? Sure.
Will it make 400hp? Probably not. Like every single GM car I have ever seen, there are 2 fuel maps, the second one will reset timing and fuel curves for lower octane gas.

Or just get teh 300hp V6?
