transmission acting wierd

I'm not quite sure if its the transmission. But earlier I was driving at low speed (maybe 25) and bumped my gear shifter into reverse. by the way I have a '94 z28 fully stock.
but now when I'm driving the engine doesn't seem to want to go over about 3000 revs.
even when I open it up.
any ideas on what could be causing this?

first thought, reset your PCM by disconnecting a battery lead, putting the key in the run position, then taking it out, reconnecting your battery and see if it fixes it.

well this morning I went out to drive it some more. and it ran fine.
5k revs in 3rd. so I guess it was just pissed at me for bumping it into reverse
