Is this a fuel pump problem?

I replaced my fuel pump about a year ago but for the past couple of months I've been hearing this loud whining noise coming from the pump and it gets real loud when Im low on gas. Now its starting to give me problems starting up. Even if the pump only has about 4k miles on it would it be the problem? Or could it be injectors?

i'll bet its the pump, spend the 45.00 & hit O'Reilly & buy a fuel pressure guage, they are always nice to have handy.

It gets pretty low... The gauge reads about 1/4 or right under it... For some reason at that point its pretty empty.

well, I can say that your fuel gauge is probably inaccurate by at least 1/8th of a tank.. that seems to be pretty standard. So at 1/4 you have 1/8th, at 1/8th you are empty. generally I always try to have 1/4 or more in my tank at all times, since the fuel cools your fuel pump and keeps it from burning up.
