I just put a dry shot nitrous kit on my car and was wondering if it's safe to run a 100 shot on stock internals.

Z-RATED94 07-10-2008, 10:22 PM If the motor is healthy I would say yes. Did you get all the safty stuff to play it safe? Are you going to dyno it to check the A/F? My bolt on H/C stock shortblock motor came up with 468rwhp on a 115shot. 97sscamaross 07-11-2008, 02:36 AM it's a pretty basic kit, it has an arming switch and a throttle switch. I plan on getting a window switch for it and possibly a fpss. But I'm going to get it dyno tuned when I get the extra cash. remaxracer45 09-17-2008, 09:49 PM z rated who dyno tuned your setup? Z-RATED94 09-18-2008, 11:31 AM z rated who dyno tuned your setup? Speed Inc. a few years back. Ion did the h/c start-up tune which nice work also. Speed doesn't do obd1 anymore but Ion has been known to use a few different shops dynos, including Speeds. slomarao 09-18-2008, 03:34 PM i would be careful with a dry kit on a lt1. Computer cant keep up with the n2o. karpetcm 09-18-2008, 06:54 PM Just make sure you got the right plugs and a good tune specifically A/F and timing, thats fairly basic. Id say wet or dry as long as you know what your doing and you have a healthy motor you shouldnt have any issues and can go a bit higher on the shot. With a wet and good tune(amoung other things) for example you shouldnt have any problems at 150 shot which is what i ran on my 93Z with 218,000 miles no issues what so ever. | ||
