whats the biggest tire can i put in the rear with the sock 16x8 rim?

whats the biggest tire size that i can put on the back on the stock 16x8 rim, without any rubbing

275 on 8
315 on 9

and dont let anyone tell u its not possible

Sure, they'll fit. But every book I've read on performance handling say it's a no-no. I recommend no larger than 255 on an 8, and no larger than 285 on a 9.5. There's a reason tire manufacturers list a recommended wheel width range for tires.

I hope you're not contemplating putting an 8" wheel on the Z06! But, like anything else, it's your car...do what you want *shrug*
