They're selling an 85mm MAF on the website for $149.. Is it worth it? Can it really add 10 horses? Let me know if you know anything on this.

SLP MAF: Does it work?mark896 12-24-2002, 03:01 PM They're selling an 85mm MAF on the website for $149.. Is it worth it? Can it really add 10 horses? Let me know if you know anything on this. V6toZ28 12-24-2002, 03:45 PM Didn't for me ... lost 4 mph and .5 in the 1/4. Had a great SOTP when I first put it in, but it didn't translate at the track. Good Luck 01SunsetOrangeSS 12-24-2002, 03:49 PM I have one, it works but I have alot more modss than you do. You really don't need one until you do heads and cam. Spend your money on something more worthwhile like dinner at a fancy restrurant. stik6shift98 12-24-2002, 10:13 PM Originally posted by 01SunsetOrangeSS Spend your money on something more worthwhile like dinner at a fancy restrurant. f u c k that lol get a lid then cutout then..... 96SFLZ 12-24-2002, 10:24 PM I would edit that if I were you...or Dave will edit it if he sees it. No, an SLP MAF is not worth $150, maybe if it was $20 it might be worth taking a chance. Zdawg 12-25-2002, 11:53 AM LOL!!!! dinner it is then, huh? Bone Maro 12-25-2002, 04:15 PM I've personally seen dyno results on a 99 TA with a cam, intake, and exhaust. Increase of 8rwhp, 5rwtq. Not too bad, but not worth the $150 IMO. If you feel you have to have one, wait until a used one comes up on the market for $100 or so. | ||
